Lesson 5: Triple Rhythm Basic

The triple step is a series of three steps that can be performed in any direction, most commonly to the side (either LRL or RLR), forward or backward. In the following tables, triple steps will be referred to simply as Sd LRL, Sd RLR and Fd or Bd LRL or RLR triples. For example, a Sd LRL triple would be a series of three steps starting on the left foot moving leftward in a left, right, left step sequence..."left-and-left" or "left-right-left."
