How To Use These Pages

The following pages were originally created to supplement a learning system designed by a company in Sacramento, California called the Ballroom Dance Group. Our original idea was to teach ballroom dancing with a video, a practice CD and an online tutorial. However, due to the extreme popularity of our homepage, the online section has become sort of a free reference guide for beginning dancers around the web. If you are one of the many people who doesn't own our video or practice CD, never fear, you are not a minority here. These pages contain enough information to help get you out on the dance floor with as little pain as possible. (For information on our video and CD click here.)

For those of you who do own our kit, these sections have been organized the same way that your video is. Simply click on the lesson corresponding with the video section and follow along with the graphs and tables.

We suggest for maximum benefit that you practice between 5 and 10 minutes per day. This will make practice not only doable, but enjoyable. You will find yourself less frustrated and more eager to learn new patterns if you simply practice one pattern at a time and rehearse it for 5 or 10 minutes a day. In no time, you will be ready to go out on the town and try your new dance skills. So have fun. Enjoy the process.
